Nicki Minaj Hands a Seat to an IG Fan Demanding She Drop "Chun-Li" Video

"Before social media, people just enjoyed the music,” Nicki wrote.

Nicki Minaj returned from her social media hiatus earlier this month to grace us all with two new tracks, “Barbie Tingz" and “Chun Li,” as well as the promise of “the greatest album [she’s] ever ever ever created.” In an interview with Zane Lowe, Nicki even said she wasn’t initially planning on releasing the two tracks but decided to do so just for her fans. However, Nicki’s dedication wasn’t quite enough for some fans, who are just too impatient to get new content from their queen.

One Instagram user named Nicki4theculture commented on a recent post by Nicki telling her to “stop posting shit and release the video!” The user was clearly not expecting what would happen next: that Nicki herself would see the comment and answer with a very long clapback.

In her reply, Nicki expressed sadness that “fans can’t even enjoy the music anymore” since “we’re always too busy worrying about the next one.” She also made sure to remind everyone just who she is and why she’s in the game in the first place. “I don’t need anything,” she wrote. “Queens don’t panic. We raise the bar, and then raise it again.”

“Before social media, people just enjoyed the music,” Nicki observed. “You’ll get the videos as soon as EYE get the videos...but telling me who, what, and when to post gets you blickity blocked.” She spared this specific user from getting blocked today, but she reminded the fan to breathe and relax, adding that “you guys have done more than enough. Your support is unmatched.”

This isn't the first time Nicki has used Instagram to check people who bother her on the app. Recently, she went in on a commenter who called her body fake. "You can't even show ur whole face. Must suck to be so jealous, miserable, insecure, and ugly," Nicki replied.

As of right now, we have yet to get an official release date for Nicki’s upcoming album. With that said, she’s been teasing the possibility of premiering a new song when she performs on SNL on May 19.
