With his debut EP due for release in a few months, now seems like the perfect time to introduce Deacon, who premieres his debut single "No Evil". Having been rapping and performing for the past ten years (including being part of Akala's Hip Hop Shakespeare with Bashy and Lady Leshurr), his EP is hugely influenced by a number of recordings he found of ex-enslaved people discussing their experiences, clips of which, feature on "No Evil". The powerful single puts his emphasis on his vocals, with the underlying instrumental almost serving as an atmospheric backdrop to what he has to say in the vein of Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly.
