Last month, Sacramento rapper Mozzy landed two a huge look in the form of approval from TDE. Appearing on the Black Panther album alongside Kendrick Lamar, the rapper also managed to grab Jay Rock for his latest EP Spiritual Conversations. On top of that, Mozzy received a shout-out from Kendrick during the Grammys. Today, Mozzy has finally shared the long-awaited project, bringing along Rayven Justice, YFN Lucci, E Mozzy, Phora, Terrace Martin, DCMBR, and Jay Rock.

Speaking with Billboard about the decision to release an EP before following up his debut studio album 1 Up Top Ahk, he explained that he wanted to put out something brief and personal first. "It's tapping into my spirituality, basically just having a conversation with God. We don't tend to have conversations with God unless we broke, or someone is recently killed, or we in jail, or something traumatic happened. That's when everybody turned to God," he said.

As he previously hinted at, Spiritual Conversations is a deeply personal affair. The tone is dark, with the sound of impending death looming around every corner as Mozzy details his life atop bass-heavy production. As someone who just recently quit lean after getting addicted, Mozzy has a lot on his mind.
