On Saturday morning, news spread about the death of Fredo Santana. TMZ reported that the Chicago rapper suffered a fatal seizure at his Los Angeles home on Friday night. Collaborator and friend Maxo Kream initially shared the news through Instagram.

In Oct. 2017, Santana was diagnosed with liver and kidney failure following his substance abuse. "Thanks for everyone who prayed for a nigga I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy," he tweeted at the time, adding, “I'm getting help I might just go to rehab.”

Many celebrities took to social media to express their condolences, including Drake, Travis Scott, Gucci Mane, and more. A lot of Santana’s fellow Chicagoans showed love, too.
