Meek Mill is physically away from the music scene while serving two to four years in state prison after being found guilty of violating probation. But Friday night brought proof Meek’s presence still looms large, as fellow Philadelphian Lil Uzi Vert included Meek’s son “Papi” as one of the many guests performing during “A Very Uzi Xmas.” “Papi” both sang along and held his mic toward the audience encouraging crowd participation as he joined Uzi for “Dreams & Nightmares (Intro).”

“In the back of the paddy wagon cuffs locked on wrists/See my dreams unfold nightmares come true/It was time to marry the game and I said yeah I do/If you want it you gotta see it with a clear-eyed view/Got a shorty she tryna bless me like I said achoo,” he rhymed, as Meek’s backing track played.

Carti joined Uzi for “Wokeuplikethis*,” while Ferg made a cameo to perform “WDYW.” Naturally, Pharrell came out for “Neon Guts,” but not before Nicki locked down two cameo performances. She hit the stage in a pair of knee-high leopard boots to perform alongside Uzi on “The Way Life Goes Remix” and drop her verse from her Yo Gotti collaboration “Rack it Up.”

After the show, Nicki tweeted that Uzi was “the only person that could’ve gotten me out of work mode tonight.”
