When Post Malone dropped his new 21 Savage collab "Rockstar" earlier this month, one thing became immediately clear: this song demands a proper stage dive whenever it's performed live.

Tragically, the modern concert experience involves a lot of holding up phones to capture shaky footage and shitty audio for each attendee's minuscule Instagram following, leaving a limited amount of hands available for the very crucial stage diving component of actually catching the stage diver. Just ask Post.

Though Post has a different theory regarding the less-than-desirable outcome of his stage dive attempt in St. Louis, Missouri Sunday night, footage of the moment—much of which was shared via replies to Post's tweeted lament—strongly suggests that the blame actually rests with our fucking phones.

"Rockstar," which includes arguably the year's greatest coke lyric courtesy of 21 Savage, comes from Post's forthcoming Beerbongs and Bentleys project. Back in July, Post vowed to get the the Stoney follow-up out to the people before the end of the year. "Some very secretive ones," Post teased to Hypebeast when pressed about potential collaborations. "Frank Dukes, shout-out to Frank Dukes. I don't want to speak too soon, but this is something that I'm working on. I really want to sit down with [Metallica singer] James Hetfield and do another 'Nothing Else Matters' and just go crazy."

Post is on the road through Oct. 31, giving fans numerous chances to make this up to him.
