Meek Mill Takes Aim at Nicki Minaj on New Album ‘Wins & Losses’

A bunch of songs have pretty clear references to his ex.

Meek Mill’s newest album Wins & Losseshas just been released, and there’s some tea boiling on a bunch of tracks. Said tea is in reference to Meek’s former romantic partner—none other than Nicki Minaj—and their tumultuous relationship.

In a statement Meek wrote, "Wins & Losses is my new album and I'm just breaking down the wins & losses of my life.” The Philly rapper seems to be doing just that.

In “1942 Flows,” Meek makes mention of the Minaj situation. He raps, “Niggas talking shots, can't stop me, they ain't real enough/Cut her off, act like she's dead and it's killing her.” He continues, “Try to crucify me like I'm Jesus the way she cross me.”

Meek then picks up where he left off, continuing to address Nicki in the third verse, “Bloggers in the frenzy, truck to the Bentley/Ain't doing no interviews, I'm busy, nigga we litty/So when you see me out don't ask me about no Nicki/Fuck I look like, telling my business on Wendy.”

He makes another mention of his ex in the final verse, “Heard that bitch say she cut me, I was like adios/In the field, knock 'em down, it look like dominos.”

Meek brings up Minaj and their extinguished romance yet again on the track “Never Lose,” referencing what seems to be Nicki's Remy Ma diss track “No Frauds” and her Kanye West collaboration “Monster.” Meek raps:

“Soon as I win, they all clapped and applaud/I seen my dawgs turned their backs, it was slow/I seen that bitch turn her back like a fraud/You turn your back, you can't come back no more/Shown the real monster, just cuttin' them off/Just when they thought, they was laughing at me/I was just sittin' back laughin' at y'all/From battlin' with Reed to rapping with Ross/To packing famous bitches at the awards/Rags to riches on the tag of the car.”

There's what seems to be one more mention of Nicki on the song “Fuck That Check Up.” “Ever put a pop bitch on the block list?” Meek asks. He also makes reference to a “bitch” who left him with a “heavy heart” on the appropriately-titled “Heavy Heart.”

On Thursday, Meek made an appearance on Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning. He spoke on “Shether,” Remy Ma’s fiery Nicki Minaj diss track. On the song, Remy rapped “Coke head, you cheated on your man with Ebro/I might leak the footage of you sniffin' them ski slopes.” Awkward. Meek also discussed the Safaree Samuels and Drake beefs he was embroiled in.

Mentioning that he recently turned 30, Meek remarked, “I be on some positive, grown-man, get-to-the-money type vibe. What can you do? You gonna be Instagramming and Tweeting and throwing shots popping shit forever? We gotta live real life, too. It’s two sides to that. I think people be getting caught up in the twilight zone, they forget that it’s OK to put your phone down.”
