Frank Ocean's new song "Chanel" played for almost an hour straight on the singer's Beats 1 radio show on Friday night—by one count, the song was run back a stunning 18 times in a row.
But only twice during that run did a special surprise pop up. An ASAP Rocky verse appeared out of nowhere about 45 minutes in, and then showed up once again before everything was done. Fans were puzzled at first.
Then many realized, due to both Ocean's mercurial nature and the lo-fi sound quality, that Rocky's verse was likely not intended for wide release.
But, of course, the remixed version quickly made its way into the world. You can hear "Chanel" with ASAP Rocky, below. Rocky's part begins at around the 3:44 mark.
