Fresh off the release of his sophomore album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, Travi$ Scott is making big business moves. As Billboard reports, Scott just inked a major worldwide publishing deal with Grand Hustle Publishing/Universal Music Publishing Group. The deal will include all of his previous work, including Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. "I’ve been chasing Travi$ Scott for years. His talent and ambitions are limitless. He’s a rock star, as well as being a brilliant writer/producer,” said Jody Gerson, the CEO of UMPG.

The deal will undoubtedly help Travi$ push his music even further than it's already gone. UMPG is the second-largest music publishing company in the world, and currently works with acts like Adele, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, and—of course—Brian McKnight. With Travi$' sophomore album garnering positive reviews and landing atop the Billboard 200 this week, he's certainly riding high.

The deal—and the album release—are sure to come as a relief for Travi$. He recently expressed how his frustrations helped him create his latest album in an interview with Billboard. "It all stemmed from me having that frustration of just like wanting to do creative shit and just not being able to do it," he said. "It took five months for my action figure to come out. It took eight months for the Hype Williams video to come out. I just felt like I was confined in a box. I couldn't do shit I wanted to do to help forward pop culture and music... 'In the trap' has nothing to do with coke or anything. It's literally a trap."

In addition to all of this good news, Travi$ will also be performing at night one of ComplexCon. You can check out more information about the event here.
