Kid Cudi's Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' isn't releasing tonight as many thought it would, but Cudi hasn't left us completely devoid of gifts. After posting a note explaining that he had to push the album back due to sample clearance issues, he decided to drop his new single "Surfin'," which is produced by Pharrell Williams. You can purchase "Surfin'" on iTunes or stream it on Apple Music by going here.

Cudi premiered the song during his set at Trillectro in August. The upbeat tune includes several of the classic elements of Pharrell's  beatmaking, including funky horns and drums, and represents a style far removed from Cudi's grunge rock experimental album Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven, which dropped at the end of 2015. According to the tracklist he dropped earlier this week, "Surfin'" will be the final song on the 18-track album.

Sadly, you won't be able to get your hands on all of Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' just yet, but in the meantime you can purchase "Frequency" (originally released in March, but newly available to buy) here and listen to "Surfin'" produced by Pharrell below. All in all, certainly not a bad evening for Kid Cudi fans.
