Bankroll Fresh was shot and killed in Atlanta tonight. He was 28 years old. According to 11 Alive, the shooting took place outside Street Execs Studios. Officials at the scene said the victim was a rapper in his 20s. 11 Alive's report states there were at least 50 shell casings found at the scene and that the victim died while in transit to the hospital.

Bankroll was viewed as one of the most promising acts out of Atlanta. He released his Life of a Hot Boy mixtape in 2014, which featured his notable street single, "Hot Boy." He would later grab Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and Turk for a remix of the track. Bankroll followed that up with the second installment in 2015. More recently, he aligned with 2 Chainz and Street Execs and shared his self-titled mixtape on Thanksgiving of last year.

Several artists and DJs close to Bankroll Fresh have reacted to the news of his death and have offered their condolences, including 2 Chainz, Migos, DJ Drama, Vince Staples, and Earl Sweatshirt.
