Andra Day first caught everyone's attention with a stacked collection of covers on YouTube before inking a major deal with Warner Bros. Records and releasing her debut album, Cheers to the Fall. The Grammy-nominated singer revisits her cover days by putting her own spin on Kendrick Lamar's "No Make-Up" off his debut studio album, Section.80.
This rendition comes from Andra as a good luck gesture for the Compton rapper at this year's Grammys, and she delivers a soulful cover saturated in jazz influences that Kendrick would certainly appreciate. She even manages to slip in Lil' Kim's "Crush on You" before the song's end. Listen to the cover above.
