Gary Miller, better known as guitarist Dr. Know of famed D.C. punk band Bad Brains, has been hospitalized and is reportedly on life support. The band seemed to confirm the news on Facebook earlier today, writing, "The Bad Brains family ask that you please keep Gary (Dr. Know) Miller in your thoughts and prayers. The family respectfully ask that their privacy be honored during this time and very much appreciate all the great energy that is being sent their way."
News first broke of the hospitalization over the weekend and was accompanied by a flood of well-wishes on social media. Rolling Stone reports that Dr. Know performed as recently as July in New York City alongside the Foo Fighters. The nature of Miller's health troubles has yet to be reported.
