The music industry and fans alike are still reeling from the untimely death of A$AP Yams, the mastermind behind A$AP Mob. His contributions to hip-hop music and culture can be felt far beyond the A$AP collective, as he was instrumental in pushing the resurgence of East Coast rap with a new generation of artists like the Flatbush Zombies, Tan Boyz, and the Underachievers, to name a few.

Brooklyn's Joey Bada$$, who just released his debut album, B4.DA.$$, on Tuesday opened up about Yams' legacy. We spoke with Joey about the last time he talked with Yams and his impact on the music industry, as a whole. "[Yams] pioneered a whole new generation.... I don't say that lightly," Joey stated.
