Phantogram released their sophomore album, Voices, earlier this year, which capitalized on their impressive chemistry together. The project yielded standout singles "Fall in Love" and "Black Out Days," and we'd be wrong not to mention how wonderful "Bill Murray" is. This duo is as pure as they come.
Today, the New York-based electronic duo flip the script on "Black Out Days," bringing in rising talent Leo Justi to completely redesign their already stellar single. Justi adds another layer of intensity and mischief to the record with bubbling drum kicks and warped synth that gives it a hypnotizing aesthetic. Detroit native Danny Brown adds a killer verse on top of that, spitting from the gut with fervor. "Out of body experience/I'm just trying to experiment/And build something with you/Like Egyptians with the pyramids."
Phantogram will be touring select dates in Canada next month, as well as a three-day run at this year's SnowGlobe Music Festival in California. For more info, visit their official website.
