Almost two years ago, Niykee Heaton uploaded a cover of Chief Keef's "Love Sosa" and hours later WorldStarHipHop picked up her YouTube video, and it went viral. We interviewed her immediately afterwards—she was 18 years old at the time and between her final exams and a shift as a cashier at Ace Hardware, her YouTube covers started to blow up. Growing up, she gave herself vocal training by signing along to Diana Ross' greatest hits, and taught herself how to play guitar, as well.
These days, she's signed to Steve Rifkind and Russell Simmons’ All Def Music in partnership with Capitol Records and at 19 years old, she's officially dropping her debut EP, Bad Intentions, tomorrow but we've got the exclusive premiere of it right now.
