We're excited to premiere the very first episode of the "You Must Learn" podcast, produced by Peter Oasis and written by Complex's very own Dharmic X. In the first episode, Jeru the Damaja speaks on the 20th anniversary of his debut album, The Sun Rises In the East. During the episode, he breaks down the DJ Premier-produced album track-by-track, which gives listeners a detailed idea of the process behind making the legendary project.

Jeru also discusses the process of knocking out an entire song in a day as well as his bond with Wu-Tang Clan, revealing that the mutual love of kung fu films brought them together. In the podcast you will also hear how Jeru got his pet hamster, and the role that PF Cuttin played.

"You Must Learn" is executive produced by Evan Auerbach (of UpNorthTrips), with contributions from DJ Flipout and Soul Khan with special thanks to Sarah Honda.

Take a listen to the first episode below and subscribe to You Must Learn" on iTunes, Stitcher, and wherever great podcasts can be found.
