Earlier this morning, Atlanta rap group Migos were involved in a highway shootout that took place in Miami-Dade County. According to reports, the group and their entourage were travelling in a van when another vehicle pulled up beside them and opened fire. An unidentified person in the van carrying Migos returned fire. One individual from Migos' camp was reportedly shot in the leg, though the identity of that person has not been revealed. The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where they were treated for non life-threatening injuries.

“They were supposed to be performing at Cafe Iguanas in Broward and apparently for whatever reason there was an altercation or disagreement with management and they didn’t perform, so as they were driving southbound on I-95, according to the witnesses in the van, a dark vehicle pulled along side them and opened fire,” says FHP Trooper Joe Sanchez  “A member of the group was in possession of his personal handgun and he returned fire. In the exchange of gunfire, one of the passengers in the van was struck in the leg."

TMZ reports a slightly different story. According to Migos' manager, no one from their camp was injured during the incident. "There was at least 40 rounds being blasted on those niggas," he adds. A photo of their van can be viewed below.

UPDATE 3/28/14 1:45PM: Migos have responded to the incident on Twitter. While it's not clear who exactly is making the comment, they say, "A lot of fuck niggas tried to take my life. But I keep that thang on me so you betta think twice." This could likely be a reference that one of them was the shooter. As stated before, one individual from their van had a gun and returned fire during the shootout.
