Beyoncé Sampled Herself on Her New Album, Here Are the Samples

After giving Beyoncé's new self-titled album a spin or two, listeners have come across a few audio samples of the singer from her younger years. They act as a trip down memory lane for the 32-year-old R&B star, and she definitely reaches back for some sweet content to accompany her new project. The clip above features a 12-year-old Beyoncé performing on Star Search in 1992 with Girl's Tyme, the first group that she was in which also included Kelly Rowland and LaTavia Roberson. They would later become Destiny's Child. This audio is sampled on "Flawless."

At the beginning of "Haunted" Beyoncé is receiving an award. This occurred in 1989 in Houston for a citywide talent show. She won a Sammy Davis Jr. Award, better known as a "Sammy." The clip of Beyoncé's award-winning performance of "Home" is below. Her acceptance speech, which she also included in her live performance of "I Was Here" in 2011, can be found below that.
