"Playas we ain't the same; I'm into 'caine and guns." Those were first words ever heard from the mouth of Pusha T, on the intro to The Clipse's debut album Lord Willin'. Since parting ways with his brother No Malice and signing with G.O.O.D. Music as a solo artist, Terrence Thornton's interests have expanded to include high fashion and hot women, but 11 years later King Push is still about that life—as evidenced by the title of his recent mixtape Wrath of Caine. Not coincidentally his pedigree as one of the illest and realest MCs in rap remains impeccable.

Pusha T's solo debut, My Name Is My Name, which goes on sale tomorrow, maintains the same ice-cold demeanor and face-numbing focus. In honor of this landmark release, Complex collaborated with Pusha and his team to create a digital cover story featuring videography and photography by Steven Taylor. Virginia's best known hustler turned rapper chopped it up with Complex editor Ralph Warner, breaking down his approach to the rap game and making it clear that he's determined to put numbers on the board by all means necessary.
