This feature is a part of Complex's Danny Brown Week.

Danny Brown released an early stream of his new album Old, and it's an impressive audio odyssey from the 32-year-old rapper. A standout cut from the project is easily "Dope Song," which Brown will be releasing a music video for very soon.

ComplexTV was on location in Detroit during the making of his episode of Complex TV's Neighborhood and "Dope Song," and caught some awesome behind the scenes footage for your enjoyment. The video features Danny Brown surrounded by his "day one niggas" (his words, not ours), as well as fellow Midwest rapper Freddie Gibbs who makes an appearance on "The Return" off Old.

Director Laurent Briet talks about shooting "Dope Song" in Detroit, which he describes as a fantastic setting visually. "It looks incredible," he says. "The summer, you get all this green lush vegetation around. It's this renewal next to the abandoned houses, the rougher times, the decay. It's really nice."

Director and photographer Jonathan Mannion, also talks about his experience exploring Danny Brown's past to create a photo gallery of Detroit through Brown's eyes and an exclusive episode of the Neighborhood

Danny Brown's Old will be released October 8 on Fool's Gold Records. As a bonus, check out ComplexTV's latest episode of "The Neighborhood" with Danny Brown below, where he talks about his musical influences, growing up in Detroit and dropping out of high school.
