People who's feeling might have been hurt by the gauntlet Kendrick Lamar threw down with his verse on Big Sean's "Control" last night, in order of potential hurt-feely-ness:
1) Jay Z, Nas, Eminem, Andre 3000...who Kendrick puts himself on a par with.
2) J. Cole, Big KRIT, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electronica, Tyler the Creator and Mac Miller. Who Kendrick calls "new niggas" and says he's trying to murder them and erase them from their fans' collective memory.
3) Rappers not even mentioned.
By Kendrick's definition, everyone excluded from the first category is a "new nigga" and advises them not to get involved. And that second category is a pretty good run-down of what one might call lyrics-focused rappers relevant and working today. And so being left off both lists? If you are a lyrics-focused rapper working today? Ouch! What about your relevance? (Wouldn't you want to get involved like, immediately?)
There were plenty of big-name rappers left off Kendrick's lists. We're wondering why. We came up with some guesses. Here are 10 Rappers Kendrick Lamar DIDN'T Mention On His "Control" Verse.

Lupe Fiasco
Likely reason for exclusion: 2013. Lupe Fiasco. "Core fans." LOL.
Less likely reason for exclusion: Remember the inauguration? You think Kendrick wants Lupe doing a 30-minute version of "Words I Never Said" about him? Dude might be looking for beef, but no one wants that.
Lil Wayne
Likely reason for exclusion: On his last album Wayne said, "I make her take this dick like advice," earning himself a year's ban from any "Best Rapper Anything" discussions.
Less likely reason for exclusion: After years of skateboarding, Weezy has really, really strong calves. Kendrick knows that no matter how high he raises the bar, Wayne will be able to "jump and get it."
Nicki Minaj
Likely reason for exclusion: Kendrick, like Peter Rosenberg, doesn’t consider the author of "Starships" a real rapper. (Is this sexist? Perhaps.)
Less likely reason for exclusion: Kendrick is actually hoping he'll fall off, so he can land on Nicki Minaj’s ass ("so soft!") like he said he would on “Black Lipped Bastard.”
Rick Ross
Likely reason for exclusion: Rick Ross is really not that good of a lyricist.
Less likely reason for exclusion: Kendrick still owes him a favor for getting Gunplay sober enough to record “Cartoons & Cereal.”
Danny Brown
Likely reason for exclusion: Though reletaively new to the national rap game, 32-year-old Danny Brown is not so new to the earth. So Kendrick might consider him more of an elder than a peer.
Less likely reason for exclusion: Kendrick is not a hundred percent confident in his ability to rap on beat while being fellated on stage in front of an audience.
Action Bronson
Likely reason for exclusion: Kendrick learned from his man Schoolboy Q's experience. He is afraid Action will ether him with a hilarious Vine.
Less likely reason for exclusion: Kendrick's not going to bite the hand that feeds him delicious Seared Ahi Tuna.
Game
Likely reason for exclusion: As detailed in "Black Boy Fly," Kendrick was once jealous of his old Compton neighbor. And Game showed him love and put him on. So as Kendrick claims his turf, hometown heroes are exempt.
Less likely reason for exclusion: Kendrick doesn’t want Game to diss him in "500 Bars." Who has time to listen to 500 Game bars in 2013?
T.I.
Likely Reason for Exclusion: T.I. is not so new. And since he has proclaimed himself "King of the South," calling him out on a record about who reigns where might have been a little too direct?
Less Likely Reason for Exclusion: Maybe Kendrick is just planting his flag in the territory above the Mason-Dixon line. Mississippi's Big KRIT, though, did make the cut...
Earl Sweatshirt
Likely Reason for Exclusion: Kendrick is not yet ready to grant another young, poetic wunderkind rival status. (This is even more interesting in light of the fact that Earl's partner Tyler was mentioned—and Tyler has said himself that he thinks Earl is the better lyricist.)
Less Likely Reason for Exclusion: Kendrick has been so busy, he does not yet know that Earl is back from Samoa.
Kanye West
Likely Reason for Exclusion: With Yeezus's dramatic departure from mainstream rap sounds, Kanye has created himself a new lane. "I am a black new wave artist," he says. One would imagine that Kendrick is comfortable ceding the black new wave scene.
Less Likely Reason for Exclusion: There are some hornets nests that even the fiestiest battle rappers don't want to kick.
