It looks like Emmett Till's family is not satisfied by Epic Records' apology for Lil Wayne's namedrop on the remix for Future's "Karate Chop."

Because the family has yet to receive an apology from Weezy himself, they plan on pressuring Mountain Dew in an attempt to get the company to drop his sponsorship. The move seems triggered by the recent success of UltraViolet, a women's group whose lobbying was partly responsible for Reebok dropping Rick Ross for his line on "U.O.E.N.O."

At this point, it would make sense for Wayne to apologize to the family for the line. After all, the song itself has already started to fade away and the label has already pulled it off of airwaves. More importantly, wasn't his lack of a suitable apology what got Rozay in trouble with Reebok? It might be time for Tunechi to man up and recognize that he has offended the family of a Civil Rights martyr.
