As much as the recent Rick Ross shooting has been talked about in the media, there have been few words from internal sources. Wale, while on Atlanta's Streetz 94.5 radio station, breaks down the graveness of the matter, addressing the fact that many have treated the situation as a joke. He reminds the public that beyond the televised presence, these people have real lives, with families and friends.
Wale goes on to say that when an attempt is made on someone's life, especially if it involves one's friend, it is not to be taken lightly. He apparently unfollowed a number of people on Twitter because of the way they were responding to the event.
Wale also denies the rumor that the event itself was staged, saying: "I think the whole thing's been blown up, I think the media is perpetuating a lot of things..."
