Just months afterhe went from Dogg to Lion, Snoop’s transformation is being called into question. Bunny Wailer of Bob Marley and the Wailers recently told TMZ that Snoop is guilty of “outright fraudulent use of Rastafari Community’s personalities and symbolism.”
The Ethio-Africa Diaspora Union Council (a.k.a. Rastafari Millennium Council) sent Snoop a 7-page demand letter regarding his name change, adoption of Rastafarianism and his work on the documentary Reincarnated about his new life. Amongst the criticisms and demands are requests that Snoop stop calling himself “Lion,” that he pays “financial and moral support,” which he allegedly promised and that he publicly apologize. There’s no word yet on what Snoop Lion intends to do in response.
