Jesse Marco's 30 Favorite Albums

The Clash, London Calling (1979)

Label: CBS, Epic, Legacy
Jesse Marco: "I love the fucking Clash. That's just the answer to that. I think the Clash came shortly after my interest in early hip-hop with Wu-Tang, and Biggie, and Tribe, and in terms of getting into rock and punk rock and stuff like that. I think it was just a natural progression.London Calling has reggae in it, it has ska in it. It has everything really.

'Lost in the Supermarket,' is just like, a precursor to The Smiths, and all this amazing British rock, punk rock, rock-whatever you want to call it.

Joe Strummer, they were all just great individuals, and they were about influencing shit, and they were really revolutionary. They're just one of the greatest. There's not many of those anymore. There's not many people with voices like theirs now."
