In addition to suffering a major loss of his 11-year-old stepson Kile Glover from a jet ski accident, Usher has been in a bitter child custody battle with ex-wife Tameka Raymond. While Usher is sympathetic of Tameka’s loss during their ongoing case, she claimed that he may be faking all of it. Specifically, she said Usher is pretending that the tragedy affects him—according to her, he skipped out on Kile’s funeral—in front of the media and fans, TMZ reported.

Tameka’s lawyers filed new documents slamming Usher, who wanted to delay the next hearing in the custody battle. In his request, he noted that the hearing would cause “unnecessary stress and strain” for everyone in the aftermath of Kile's death. He also claims Tameka has an advantage in the hearing, since the court would not typically rule against a woman who is still grieving.

Tameka remains outspoken against Usher and said his claims of “stress and strain” are “bogus.” She added, "[Usher] visited Kile in the hospital only once during his 15 days on life support."

Her documents state that Usher’s attempt to postpone the hearing is “simply a transparent sham.” She is asking for the judge to deny Usher’s request so he can appear at the next hearing scheduled for Aug. 13. Lastly, she claims that resolving the custody battle will allow her to begin the healing process.
