Hip-hop's favorite loose cannon is finally ready to step back into the spotlight, and dammit, we can't wait. In his absence, rappers have shed the hard exterior, in favor of a more curated aesthetic, and they've shun the tough-guy posturing to instead get more in touch with their feelings.

We love the softer stuff as much as the next listener, but X's aggressive energy and rough-around-the-edges approach is sorely missed. Look for X to exhibit some of the growth he's experienced over the past few years, while still bringing the excitement that has made him a legend.
