The One of a Kind Music Access bus, presented by Dr Pepper, pulled up at the Hangout Music Fest in Gulf Shores, Alabama. For those who don't know about 'Bama's beach scene, there is some beautiful coast down there. Musical superstars including Dave Matthews, Wilco, Mavis Staples, and Mac Miller were shown plenty of Southern hospitality by the crowd that gathered to party on the white sand.
Complex's Soo-Young Kim had a chance to speak with rising hip-hop star Yelawolf, an Alabama native playing the Hangout festival. In the above video, he talks about the difference between playing a show in Europe, where he recently toured, and playing in his home state, noting the audience's appreciation for the music versus their appreciation of the experience behind it.
There are still 10 more stops on the One of a Kind Music Access road trip, so keep checking in with Complex for more videos, pics, and updates.
