As you have no doubt heard, Lupe Fiasco and Pete Rock kind of got into it after the former dropped a single, "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)," that interpolated the beat from the latter's classic with CL Smooth, "They Reminiscent Over You (T.R.O.Y.)." And since then, we've seen what appeared to be a make-up session followed by Fiasco venting his frustration over the whole thing.

But now it looks like it could all be over. Rock issued an official statement on the tiff that outlines exactly why he got upset and how he's going to move forward and stay "focused on what's good." You can read the statement below.

It’s true that people have made T.R.O.Y. over. I can’t control what’s done with my work after it’s already out there but I can control who gets my blessings. Those who involve me and respect me in the process, get my blessings. Those who work behind my back – but all the while putting up a front like I’m down with it – don’t.
