Any surprise performance by Jay-Z is a good surprise. Last night (May 2) at the 2012 YouTube Upfront Presentation, Hov hit the Beacon Theatre stage in a blazer and a fitted cap sporting the new Brooklyn Nets logo. He closed out the event with “Empire Stage Of Mind,” which got the whole crowd on their feet. Other appearances included Pharrell (who Hov shouted out) and additional performances by Flo Rida and violinist Miri Ben-Ari.
