Soulja Boy collaborator and From G's to Gents star RiFF RaFF has reached a new popularity level: There's a character based on him in director Harmony Korine's new movie, Spring Breakers. Oh, and he's being played by James Franco.

It turns out that RiFF RaFF was supposed to be in the film -- like fellow rapper Gucci Mane, who apparently plays a drug dealer. But the Houston rapper was out of the country. He still helped with the depiction of his personality, though, and sent Franco "some things." Here's what RR said about being played by Franco:

"Even though I couldn't be a part of this project, I'm still glad that James Franco could play the role of me. That's like if Denzel Washington was playing the role of O.J. Simpson. Even though it's not O.J. Simpson, O.J. Simpson still gotta be like, 'Denzel Washington is playing me.'"
