Who Is Schoolboy Q?

Sure, we’re barely six weeks into 2012 but we’re gonna go ahead and say that Schoolboy Q’s latest release, Habits and Contradictions, is one of the best projects of the year so far. The 17 track independent album features Q rocking out with his aggravated delivery and unique enunciation and getting a some help from friends like Kendrick Lamar, The Alchemist, and A$AP Rocky.
But Schoolboy has been on our radar for a while now. He first caught our attention with his independent album Setbacks, which dropped early last year. He’s also crushed a number of guest spots including Kendrick Lamar’s “Michael Jordan” and “The Spiteful Chant,” but he took it to another level on A$AP Rocky’s “Brand New Guy.”
After watching Q help A$AP tear down the house during Rocky’s performance at Irving Plaza in NYC this week, we figured now would be the perfect time to get to know the 25-year-old man born Quincy Hanley. So read on to find out Who Is Schoolboy Q?

Fuck Yeah.... would love to see 50/TDE collab. I think at this point Fif's got as much (if not more to gain from Q and them musically. Freshen him up and make him realise he surrounded by too many "yes" men yaknow. And Q could definitely soak up some vet knowledge from workin with Curtis. Shit would be dope. Damn I wish 50 had the foresight tpo sign DannyBrown when he has the chance.... fuckin skinny jeans!
