While we continue to wait to see if Drake responds to Common's "Stay Schemin' (Remix)," Com is still answering questions about the situation. During his talk on Hip Hop Nation last night, he mentioned why he made "Sweet" and his intentions for the battle to begin with, keeping it political and trying not to instigate any more than what it has already escalated to.
He dodged the question about the battle stemming from Serena Williams, but insists that this feud is all about the music. Listen to the interview below.

I don't think this is over Serena. That angle is for the blogs to create blog hits via drama. LOL My impression is Common just wanted to battle, period. He wanted to shake things up. I dont think this is as personal as the media is making it seem.

haha, common is looking ridiculous right now. he can't be coming after drake because his music is soft because common made one of the softest albums around when he was dating erykah badu ... at a time when hip hop was real grimy. also his shots are too personal & based on sensationalism e.g. calling drake's parents bitches. seems like he's real butthurt about something. drake's could've taken the same route & said "i fucked your bitch" but he's just like you're a legend, don't act like a bitch & let me know we have a problem when you see me.

Common is lying his bald head off. In interviews talking about Sweet wasn't a Drake diss, but turns around and says if the shoe fits it's for Drake. We all know he was going at Drake all along. Lying muhfucka "Don't be ducking like you never wanted nothin". He even released the Sweet Video, on Nov 14th, a day before Drake's album dropped. C'mon Common, you're supposed to be a legend, stop lying and man up. We know he jealous bout Serena too. This beef is whack,"nowadays niggas reach just to sell records". Drake has a mixtape coming out wid Ross, so we can expect a reply from Drizzy there. Would be exciting if he replied while everyone's still talking tho.

Lmao, the comments on Complex are to complex for their own mind. Drake is like any hungry rapper on his second album, wanting new experiances. Damn im really shooked at these Com haters, dude returned years since his last album. In betweeen he didn't do anything musically, so of course Com wanted to show that he is all bout that Bitch In Yoo still. Stans fall back, Drake sit on Coms lap.
