It’s about that time of year again. With only a few weeks left in 2011, we can finally look back at all the year has had to offer and select which albums were our favorites. Obviously, everything can’t make the list, and we aren't going to please everybody. Cuts had to be made, and some very noteworthy projects that will go unmentioned. We're OK with that.

There may be a few surprises, but In the end only the fittest of the fittest were left standing. This year we saw some impressive debuts from young guns, veteran acts proving they still have what it takes, and hyped up projects that actually lived up the hype. These are The 25 Best Albums of 2011. If you've got a problem, make sure you do your homework, then let us know in the comments.

Have you actually listened to all of the Weeknd's songs? He well deserved it.

The Weeknd is one of the only good artists on here, half of the albums on this list are garbage, so why are you gonna hate one of the few that deserves to be up here?

The Weeknd is incredibly over-rated. He's okay. The fact that he is #1 among other things makes this list extremely problematic

This is true, he only has a few hit songs like "High for this" and "The Zone" featuring drake. However all his other songs are controversial, not everybody listens to this shit. I'd put Section.80, Cole World: The sideline story, Take care and Ambition higher ratings for sure.

who cares how many of the weeknd's song made mainstream "hitlists" .. J. Cole's unreal and he isn't on the radio

completely agree this list is wack. How can you put drakes album in front of bad meets evil and commons album? this better be a list on sales, not wordplay.

That tom dude is stupid... First of all House of Balloons is a FREE mixtape. So there's no way in hell that it could be by sales... The Weeknd deserves to be "over-rated" he's been on his A game all year. He deserves to be #1 on the charts. And yeah Wale's Ambition should have been on the top 25!

To be honest, Section.80 should be no. 1. Wale's album was alright but it was definitely better than Rolling Papers by Wiz, cause that album was trash so it should replace it on the list. House of Balloons was dope, it should be no. 2, followed by 3.Watch The Throne 4.Take Care 5. Nastalgia Ultra 6. Live. Love. A$AP etc.

Rapsody's list is much better if I'm being honest? Where W.A.R on this list? You added ASAP Rocky's and left out Big K.R.I.T brilliance? The Weeknd at number 1? Lol, smh.
