Yeah, Complex fucks with Kid Cudi musically—that much should be obvious at this point. We first featured Cudi in the magazine's "Street Detail" column back in 2007, when he was just a fresh kid named Scott working at the NYC BAPE Store. Since then, he's released two classic albums and gone through a lifetime worth of personal and professional drama. We've been there to chronicle it all, collaborating with Cudi on three quotable cover stories over the last three years.
Our October/November 2011 issue completes Cudi's Complex hat trick. This year has been filled with change for Cudi—quitting weed, parting ways with some longtime business partners, making up with some old friends, and recording a rock album called The Wizard. Can he keep it all together? Complex Editor-in-chief Noah Callahan-Bever caught up with Cudi to find out where his head is at and where he's going. The new issue hits stands on October 4, but we're giving you an early look at the cover story (and extended gallery) now...

Kid cudi does good hooks and all but lately hes songs have sucked. When he ffirst came out on the seen he had more drive and ambition. Now he drops weak stuff like man on the moon 2. It is nothing compared to the forst one he did better when he smoked haha.

none of you know shit about music. because if you did, you would know that cudder is one the best to ever influence the game of music (hip hop too, but just music in general.) and yes @dillsnick. two classic albums and one classic mixtape.

If you guys were true Cudi fans then you would respect what he is doing. like he said. real artist can venture into other things because they are that talented . And its the whack rappers that do the same shit for years and never change their stuff up that has gotten hip hop so fucked up
