In 2004, Royce Da 5'9" released an album called Death Is Certain. Grim as that title sounds, it's simply how Royce was feeling at that time. His career was in a rut, he was abusing alcohol, and it seemed like everyone in Detriot (including Eminem) had a problem with Nickel Nine.

Yet miraculously, he was able to turn it around. Seven years since DIC, Royce is about to release his new album, the optimistically titled, Success Is Certain. Royce has got a lot to be excited about: He's a part of an acclaimed supergroup Slaughterhouse, he's on Shady Records, and not only did he patch things up with Eminem, but they teamed up as Bad Meets Evil and dropped Hell: The Sequel, one of the best albums of the year

Royce is looking to continue his hot streak with his latest release. Although it's an LP, it's only 11 songs long and most of the songs have only two verses. Still, we were eager to see what Nickel had to offer. That's why we put together this album preview. Check out our thoughts...
