As you may have noticed, it's Prodigy week over here at Complex. We kicked it off on Monday with a controversial Q&A with the HNIC about everything from reuniting with Nas to his thoughts on the new generation of rap artists. Then, yesterday, we set the Internet on fire after we debuted P's latest effort, The Ellsworth Bumpy Johnson EP, for free download. And today, we're proud to present five excerpts from P's new book, My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep's Prodigy, which is in stores now. Hear P tell some incredible stories about how Havoc once mistakenly shot an A&R at Def Jam, how Capone (allegedly) snitched on Havoc's brother, and what happened when Prodigy ran into Jay-Z at Justin's.

Prodigy talk about how Tru Life and his LES rican goons...stripped you naked and beat the living shit out of you, havoc and had alchemist crying, drooling and broke his jaw. Alchemist went to the cops. Prodigy talk about how Keith Murray caught you outside of the club. Beat your fucking ass. Knocked you the hell out for talking shit on the radio. And you ran to go get your gun and hid behind a cop car. You were scared. Keith Murray beat your ass. How about PRodigy...when Sherm knocked you out...spit on you, stomped you out and took your chain...For trying to be Trife with Lakey the Kid...and Cormega was in the car laughing and didn't do shit.. how about that? remember the show at the tunnel...when you got beat up by Sherm and Lakey the Kid...and you came out front...you couldn't get them in show...so they popped ya chain and beat you up....infront of the tunnel where you were gonna perform.. pussy ass nigga prodigy....

How do you know he doesnt mention those incidents in the book? This is just an excerpt, they're not going to post an excerpt of P recalling his ass beatings to promote the book lol.

i really dont know if it was IM3 but tru life said they caught mobb deep's people (NOT MOBB DEEP) in dj muggs' studio gza from wu-tang was there too watch the beef dvd

This dude really visualizes/puts himself forth as some all-world tough guy, doesn't he? Laughable. The invention of the gun has made some of the weakest human beings with seldom a contribution to society act and feel as though they possessed Herculean courage and strength. As far as I'm concerned he's a measly drug addicted bum, but it's not all his fault.
