Why Did The GRAMMYs Snub Guru?

Why Did The GRAMMYs Snub Guru?
Maybe we blinked and missed it, but for the life of us we cannot figure out why the 53rd GRAMMY Awards did not mention the late Keith "Guru" Elam—who passed away last April—in their In Memoriam section. The tribute featured tons of acts we'd never heard of but no mention of the Gang Starr frontman. Guru is a hip-hop legend and he deserved better. And even if the GRAMMYs forget him, we never will. R.I.P. Guru. Below, tweets from other hip-hop figures who noticed that Guru never got a shoutout.

I'm not totally sure but if so-I don't even think they mentioned Dilla in the 48th Grammys so I'm not surprised by the miss. R.I.P. to both.

They mentioned Dilla for the 2007 memoriam. Played a snippet of So Far To Go as well.
