Once again, Kanye has floored us all with the album of the year, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which officially hits stores today. Complex was lucky enough to get a glimpse inside the making of this masterpiece for our December/January 2011 cover story. In fact, it's the ultimate fly-on-the-wall account: Earlier this year, our editor-in-chief, Noah Callahan-Bever, was invited out to Kanye's rap fantasy camp in Hawaii to watch the magic happen. We also got some of the major players involved in the album (Pusha T, Pete Rock, Nicki Minaj, etc) to break down their experience, and as an online exclusive, we have a gallery filled with 40 behind-the-scenes Hawaii photos. This album represents so much more than just rap's over beats..Kanye took this album to a plateau that Jay-z hasn't arrived to. and Jay knows that, that why they are doing an album together..The Jay & Ye album will be a phenomenal work of art. #CorneliohasSpoken

Not going to front right here, the mini movie made me appreciate the album a whole lot more than I would have. It's not fair to compare two artists on different spectrum such as Kanye and Jay. I used to be just like you trying to find something to base a contrast on, but in the realm of music you have to respect material for what it is.

The new album is different from all the shit Kanye west has done. He just proved us that he still has that raw talent to keep his fans, we never know what the fu*k hes gunna do. "Taylor swift" HA! And Yes, I do agree that the west production was pretty dope. I personally loved it. It made me feel for the album even more ... especially at the end. Come on now why you hating on him?? Honestly? Do you make bank like him? NO. Are you known all over the world? I don't think so, There's a reason for that too. So do yourself a favor, Shut yo mouths and just listen and appreciate what he's doing for us. Stop trying, you already failed cause hes still standing no matter what the media may say.

the only reason that this album could possibly be said that this album was bad is because almost half of the songs already leaked either through good fridays or his "runaway" video... i just didnt like that he released so many songs. i expected NONE OF THE MBDTF SONG TO RELEASE THROUGH GOOD FRIDAY! i was hoping for that, cuz when the album released i already knew most of the songs.. that is the absolute ONLY thing that would make this album not the album of the year. ALSO, in the final version of All of the Lights, he took out Drake's verse and put in Fergie? why the hell would he have Fergie in it? her line suckeeddd!!!!!
