WHY IT'S WORTH THE DL: Mickey Factz made enough noise in '07 and '08 to get him on the cover of XXL's "Freshman Class of 2009" issue. But since then, the former NYU law school student has been a bit quiet. Although he did catch a nice check with his Honda endorsement deal, he barely released anything in '09. Turns out the Bronx-bred rapper was busy finalizing his major label deal with Sony and prepping two well-received mixtapes, thedarkphoenix: ALPHA and Who the Fuck is Mickey Factz? Vol. 2. His latest release features beats from Big K.R.I.T., Don Cannon, and Sean C & LV as well as guest spots from Fat Joe, B.o.B., and Bun B, and is another strong offering from the BX rhyme slinger.
