Complex Says: You can't help but feel bad for Crooked I: dude's been in the game since he was 17 but has yet to release a proper debut album. He first got signed to Virgin in '95, but got dropped in '99 before ever releasing an album. He got down with Daz and his DPG imprint in '99, but when Daz went independent, Crook stayed with Suge Knight and Death Row. He was billed as the "Second Coming of Death Row," but things never materialized, and by 2004 he was on his own again. He started his own label and has been independent ever since. That debut album might still be nowhere in sight, but he did team up with Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, and Royce Da 5'9" to form Slaughterhouse, who looks like they'll be signing with Shady after releasing their critically acclaimed album.
