Hit Man Confessions: Kawan "KP" Prather

Kawan "KP" Prather will be the first to admit he's some Forrest Gump-type luck over the course of his life. From growing up in the same apartment complex as Jermaine Dupri to having T-Boz date his best friend's brother to meeting the then-unknown Outkast in high school, KP has always been in the right place at the right time. The Atlanta native has made the most of his opportunities, starting out as part of the critically acclaimed group (and Dungeon Family affiliate) Parental Advisory, and later discovering and signing T.I. through his Ghet-O-Vision imprint, A&Ring high profile projects like Usher's Confessions and Pink's Missundaztood, and more recently producing hits with his partner Malay for John Legend ("Green Light"), who he also signed while an executive at Sony.
