In the latest edition of “news crazy enough that it could only come out of Florida,” a woman is alleging that the bag of cocaine found on her person “must have flown through the window and into my purse.” According to WPLG Local 10 News in South Florida, Kennecia Posey was arrested late last month on a drug possession charge after police pulled over the car she was riding in. When approached the vehicle, the officer claims to have smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the inside.

Authorities discovered marijuana and cocaine in separate bags inside Posey’s purse that she had on her lap during a search of the vehicle. When asked about the drugs, she admitted that the weed belonged to her, but was unaware of the cocaine. "I don't know anything about any cocaine," Posey said, according to the police report. "It's a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse."

Posey was charged with one felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession. She was eventually released on bond. At least Kennecia doesn’t have to be behind bars wondering why she couldn’t think of a better excuse than a bag of coke magically flying into her purse.
