A Bulgarian Psychic Predicted Vladimir Putin Would Become 'Lord of the World' 39 Years Ago

Baba Vanga predicted a Russian ruler would lead the world nearly 40 years ago.

Baba Vanga, a blind Bulgarian mystic who is said to have predicted the 9/11 terrorist attacks, once said that Vladimir Putin would rule the world someday.

Well, not in those exact words. But if her track record is any indication, she was definitely on to something. In 1979, Vanga - known as the 'Nostradamus of the Balkans' - told writer Valentin Sidorov that Russia would become 'lord of the world' and that Europe would eventually become a "wasteland."

Putin became Russia's acting President in 1999 and recently won another six years in his post in a landslide victory. His relationship with President Trump remains under close watch as the U.S. Congress investigates Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

"All will thaw, as if ice, only one remain untouched – Vladimir's glory, glory of Russia," she foretold, according to the The Daily Mail. "Too much it is brought in a victim. Nobody can stop Russia.' she prophesied, adding,  "All will be removed by her from the way and not only will be kept but also becomes lord of the world."

Vanga, who says she lost her eyesight at age 12, also predicted Brexit decades ago, saying that Europe as we know it would 'cease to exist' by the end of 2016. She died in 1996 at the age of 85 – years before any of these events occurred. Baba's believers say she has an 85 percent success rate with predictions. Their primary concern is that the current political climate could spark a nuclear war in Europe.
