Video Shows Thief Break Into Restaurant, Steal Grip of Bananas, Then Fall Asleep on Floor

We've all been there: the end of a long night when you're drunk, hungry, and tired. Ideally, though, you don't end up on the news when it happens. One man in Long Island, New York wasn't so lucky though. The guy broke into a restaurant, stole and ate a lot of bananas, urinated in a garbage can, and then fell asleep on the ground before learning that security camera footage of this caliber makes for excellent memes.

This weekend, according to ABC 7 (WABC), a man broke into Sexy Salad, a restaurant in Hauppauge on Long Island, New York. The man, who was filmed on surveillance footage, helped himself to the restaurant's food. He stole—and enthusiastically ate—around a dozen bananas.

After munching hard on the bananas, the man took a piss in a trash can before he passed on out the floor of the restaurant.

The dude was gone by the time the owner, John Robertson, showed up on Saturday morning. But he did leave behind one key piece of evidence—his driver's license. That made it pretty easy for police to identify the man, however there have reportedly been no arrests so far.

Despite having his restaurant broken into, the owner was pretty cool about the whole thing. "If you're gonna be broken into, you might as well get a good laugh out of it," John Robertson told ABC 7. "This guy was hysterical, I've never seen somebody so drunk."
