In other news about Australia not involving The Leftovers a man using the bathroom in Australia was bitten by a venomous spider (of course) on his penis, of all places, reportsMashable. Australia just ain't a safe place to go to the bathroom. If there's not a venomous spider waiting to bite you there's bound to be a huge 6-foot snake lurking in the toilet bowl.

The nightmare come true was reported to have happened to a 21-year-old Australian man who was using a portable toilet according toMashable. The man, who was only identified as "Jordan" by The Advertiser, managed to get himself to a hospital after being bitten by the redback spider. The redback is a relative of the black widow spider, the most venomous spider in North America, which is why they look similar. Mashablereports that it's the female redback that's venomous.

Dying from a redback bite is rare, reportsMashable, pointing out that an anti-venom for was created back in the 1950s. The venom is said to cause a person intense pain, sweating, nausea, and vomiting.

The Advertiserreports Jordan is a tradesman who used the portable toilet on a work site. Although an ambulance was called for him Jordan took himself to a hospital.

The St George Hospital confirmed a 21-year-old man had been admitted for a redback bite and later released once he was in stable condition according toThe Advertiser.

The lesson here: be extremely careful about where you go to the bathroom in Australia, it might cost you big time.
