Deliberately Faulty Objects by Jeremy Hutchison

London-based artist Jeremy Hutchison wanted to throw a wrench in standardized production. For his new project, which he calls Erratum, he invited factory workers in China, India, Turkey, and Pakistan to toss an error in whatever they normally make. This process makes otherwise everyday objects complete design failures. Or, more appropriately, fine art objects. Or, perhaps, just a brilliant conception of traditions of factory art spread beyond typical studio spaces to form expansive, international reach.
