Jennifer Toole is a self-taught photographer based in Toronto, ON. She was educated in Journalism and Creative Writing at Concordia University, but gave up her writing dreams to persue more profitable artistic activity. She is now the sole proprietor of TOOLE Photography (and, one of the photographers we have a crush on).
Jennifer prefers to photograph highly sexualized, elegantly perverted scenarios with intelligent undertones, but will photograph boudoir noir, bands, fashion, beauty, commercial and corporate scenes for money. She was born in Plantation, Florida and obviously ran away from home as soon as she was legal. She is sitting on a perfectly good, unused U.S. Social Security number that is aching for a U.S. clientele.
Check out Toole's fantastic fetish photography.

TIGHT Teaser
October 2011
This is a little behind-the-scenes teaser shot of my new project ‘TYPE.’ My collaborator, fellow photographer/model Kali’i Dixon, and I are in the midst of shooting each other for this highly provocative photo series centered on female stereotypes.
wang
Alexander Wang Editorial
July 2011
This shot was part of a series featuring Alexander Wang’s Fall/Winter 2011 line for TNT. It was my first time working with a Zeiss lens and I fell in love with the brand. The fine detail and the rich color Zeiss lenses capture turn the resulting photographs into supernatural sights.

Twilight Room
May 2011
This was shot in the Twilight Room at The Gladstone Hotel for another TNT feature. The tungsten lamplight mixed with the outdoor fluorescents and my directed head wrapped with a dark blue gel create quite the dramatic scene.

Natalie
May 2011
I love the way the vanity light hits Natalie’s face from above here. It illuminates a delicate mask for her to paint. And that Herve Leger mini isn’t too hard on the eyes either.

Show Bull
February 2009
This shot was taken at the Five Star Rodeo in my hometown Davie, Florida. The rodeo bulls have always fascinated me with their extraordinary strength and captivity-induced sorrow. They say it all with their eyes.

Mom
April 2010
Miss Jeanine Mackie is a celebrated Toronto-based Jazz and Blues singer. This photo was used to promote her last album. She’s an awe-inspiring woman and I would say that even if she weren’t my mom.
boud
Boudoir 1
November 2011
This shot is part of a boudoir noir series shot for a bride-to-be as a wedding gift to her fiancé. Lucky guy!

Boudoir 2
November 2011
I would love to do a whole lot more of this boudoir noir photography. Brides-to-be get at me!
brazil
Brazil Balcony
February 2011
I escaped last winter by running away to Rio for Carnival. It was the night of the Carnival Ball at the Copacabana Palace. As I got ready, a light warm rain fell. It was so beautiful I stepped out onto the rooftop to capture the moment with a self-portrait. Caption: “I’m the luckiest girl in the world!”

May 2008
This is a photo from my very first photo shoot. The little angel depicted above helped me realize my passion for photography with the aid of a few bottles of wine, a nudist nature, and heaps of honesty in its rawest form. I am forever indebted to her inspiration. What a muse!

Laura
October 2011
It is one thing to do a beautiful sunrise shoot on the beach in a tropical climate and quite another to brave the same task at the close of a Canadian Autumn. Our model Laura heroically tossed her clothes aside, not once complaining of the frost, and managed to evoke this poetic scene. Canadian models, be warned: hypothermia may be an occupational hazard.

Northbound Leather 1
August 2010
This is a still from my Northbound Leather fetish shoot. No models were harmed in the making of this shot.

One of our fetish models rehydrating after hours of near suffocation inside a full-face leather skullcap with a zipper mouth.

Northbound Leather 3
August 2010
This studded lace-up jumper was the stand-out design piece of the Northbound Leather fetish shoot. For a measly $1600 you can be hard-core too.

Lord Help Me
October 2010
In addition to the boudoir, fashion, and fetish photography I also love photographing musicians. I try to leave the staging and poses of those other genres behind in band photography. It becomes more an art of capturing the candid moment, of creating movement, of showing the music in the photo somehow.
