At ComplexCon 2017, DeRay Mckesson brought together Fear of God's Jerry Lorenzo and Rich Wilkerson (Senior Pastor of Vous Church) for a discussion on faith and culture that's filled to the brim with jewels.

Wilkerson reveals it was Kanye West, of all people, who introduced him to Lorenzo, and they later re-connected at the beginning of the Yeezus Tour.

Lorenzo breaks down the message and inspiration behind his clothing line Fear of God. "I wanted the foundation to be something that was eternal, and something that would give life and not just swag for a day," he says.

Later, Lorenzo talks about how big of an impact Barack Obama's first presidential election had on his life and also shares what he wants the youth to take away from Fear of God. "When he became president, it did so much for me personally about what I could do. And so what I'm trying to do with Fear of God, as a business owner, is give kids hope. And show a kid, hey, you can have a point of view and propose something in the market, and create legacy through it. And all that you need is within."
